DDO Visual Error/No Clip Mode
Everyone that has been in a group with me lately has probably heard me complaining about an extremely annoying visual glitch that has been plaguing me for the last six months, it used to occur maybe once in every fifty quests but, for whatever unknown reason, over the last three weeks it has gone from one in fifty to about three in forty.
I recorded two of the last instances that it happened in.
3 minutes 12 seconds - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RqJ0fTuhyA
4 minutes 16 seconds - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQZVIPtwtQY
The two examples posted are quests that I am fairly familiar with, but when this happens in a quest that I'm unfamiliar with, it becomes entirely unplayable.
Effects speed runs and zergs frequently, even on well known quests. I like to be out in front of a group and always moving, this glitch is ruining my play style and general DDO experience.
It resets at the end of an instance when I finish out of a dungeon. It also resets upon re-logging. When this happens between three and four times a day, they both become painful solutions that I shouldn't have to be dealing with.
Possibly relevant specs;
Samsung 840 EVO Series 250GB SSD - Running both DDO and Windows 8.1
Seagate Barracude 2TB HDD - Everything else.
ASUS Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC 4GB - x2
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 RAM
Intel Core i7 4790
ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark1 Motherboard
Corsair RM-1000 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
My two graphics cards are typically linked via crossfire.
I run all games on the highest possible settings.
All my drivers and programs are up to date.
My operating system and Java are fully up to date.
Antivirus has no issues with DDO.
Happens both with and without crossfire being enabled.
Happens on every graphics quality setting on every version of DirectX available on DDO, with and without crossfire.
Happens in both windowed and fullscreen modes, on multiple resolutions.
Happens with and without post processing, environment stencil shadows and anti-aliasing.
Happens on both my monitors, have connected them to each graphics card separately.
Happens with only one monitor connected.
Happens if I remove card1 and only run card2. With one or both monitors connected.
Happens if I remove card2 and only run card1. With one or both monitors connected.
Happens with a fresh installation of DDO.
I have tried everything I can think of to fix this issue, if you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.
