Does Eldritch Blast always count as a spell?
I'm about to TR into a Warlock for the first time. I'm fairly familiar with the class in general, but not at all in depth.
I can't find a source which says if Eldritch Blast counts as a spell one way or another. Or if it is a 'sometimes' thing and in which cases it counts as a spell and in which cases it does not count as a spell.
The wiki says:
When you toggle it on, your basic attack, regardless of weapons held(except for wands), becomes a ranged magical attack that hits a single enemy.
But a 'ranged magical attack' isn't necessarily a spell, right?
Specifically, assuming I am a Fey Pact Warlock, does the Nightsinger effect of Nightsinger's Mantle proc off of Eldritch Blast?
Nightsinger
Effect: 5% Chance On Sonic Spell Hit: Target is Blinded for 6 Seconds.
I've seen the Lantern Ring praised for Warlocks, and the Radiant Glory effect procs "on harmful spell cast." So clearly for the purposes of the Lantern Ring Eldritch Blast counts as a spell.
But does it always count as a spell, and if not is there any list of interactions where it either does or does not count as a spell?
As just one other example, does Eldritch Blast count as a spell for purposes of being suppressed by a Beholder's central eye?
