So along with most of the community, I was waiting eagerly for the new expansion to come out.. and Weds updating the client.
So logged in, jumped onto my level 30 farm character and after spending some time trying to find where it was (ended up in House J), entered the Mists...
I thought it was wonderful detail, btw... but shortly after, as I entered Barovia... *crash*.. So reloaded, logged back in... got to the tavern *crash*.. reloaded, got into a quest *crash*.. End boss, after completion and recalling out *crash*.. reloaded, got to the tavern *crash*
I had reduced the graphics on the system to very low across the board. My system is a 32 bit system, and I use the preloader. I utilize virtual ram (dedicate 300GB to the PC). I have 4GB installed (I know 3GB is the max used), with a 512MB graphics card.
The system works fine across the rest of the expansions (and quite fast too), but for this no, it doesn't (despite the info for Ravenloft stating that it's the same specs). I managed to complete the first two quests, but it got to a point that after I recalled out *crash* - so I relogged, then *crash* as soon as I had logged back in,.... repeated that about 4 times, till I got tired of it.
I reset the system completely so it was a full switch off, then restart - didn't do anything.
Just quite exasperated at the moment...
