Former veteran player, back after 5 years hiatus. A few questions.
Hey guys. Long time no see.
A few of my college friends and I are starting a pre-made six-men party, to play once a week. I'm thinking of playing a bard. I used to play a dual-wielding dwarven Warchanter by the name of Barrok (back then, there was no Swashbuckler so I don't know if that's preferable) and I'd like to play him again. I was wondering if you guys could point to me to a viable build for a battle bard. Alternatively, I'm open to any suggestion of a new race/class combination. There are so many new ones since I last played!
I'm a powergamer at heart but I'm on more of a "budget" than when I last played. :p
Currently, I'm playing on Thelanis but a few of my friends are on Argo. I have a few features unlocked server-wide through favor. If I transfer a sufficiently high level character to Argo, does it unlock these features there too? On that topic, are there servers with greater activity than most? Argo used to be renowned for greater player activity, on the basis of being first in alphabetical order. Is that still the case?
I'll be looking into spending my remaining Turbine Points. Any recommendations?
Oh, and I won some award for the 10th anniversary. I was offered any three of these items. Are there any of these are that strongly recommended? Should I stay away from some? I literally have no idea what these are for. I only figure it's wise to make sure something isn't worse than it sounds.
Lastly, if anyone reading this remembers me from the years I played this game or posted in the forums, I want to thank you. I was in a rough spot back then - severe depression, anxiety disorder, etc. This game was my outlet. You guys were my primary friends. If we interacted, even if it was to yell at each other, thank you for making those years a little better. That goes double if you're a Turbine (well, Standing Stones Games). I'm all better now (back in university, at last!) and DDO was what got me through the toughest days. So thank you.
Oh, and if anyone from the DDOwiki is reading this, please check the Recent Change page!
TL;DR: Classic Borror0 wall of text.

Randomly stumbled across this while looking for something else. I'm a former constant player coming back from two years without being able to play. Just wanted to say hello and agree that DDO is a great outlet for anxiety, depression or just the odd rough day.
