Assistance Regarding Rogue Build
Greetings,
I just recently came back to DDO with two friends of mine, and we're trying to make a three man party that can cover the major aspects of a party. We did this ages ago, and I had a build I was going with that I really liked, but I can't remember for the life of me what the overall plan for the build was.
Basically, I wanted to be a rogue that could search for and disarm all traps on elite difficulty, while focusing on a dex based dual wielding build. On my last character, someone helped me put together a build where I was a level 7 ranger, 6 monk and 1 rogue (that's as far as I got). I feel like I started level 1 with the rogue for all the skills and everything it gets, and then I added in ranger and monk levels to amplify my dual wielding and dex based build. I know I was dual wielding longswords, and my current attributes were 13 str, 29 dex, 18 con, 21 int, 19 wis, 8 cha.
I could be wrong on some parts here, as I'm trying to piece together my build from ages ago, but if any of you elite veterans that have been doing builds for ages know what I was aiming for, and could perhaps help me rebuild my build so I could get things right on my new character, I would appreciate it to no end!
Or if you see ways I could improve my build further by doing other things, I'm open to suggestions as well! I'm not even sure what to start my stats at when creating my new character, I always just want to put dex at 18, int at 18 and then dump con to 12 with the rest of my 32 point build. I'm sure there will be drawbacks when it comes to wisdom for spotting or strength, but I'm hoping I can use my dex as both my mod for hitting and damaging so I don't really need strength for anything beyond encumbrance, and rely on items to make up for the lack of spot / listen and all of that.
Thank you (:
EDIT::
I've been looking over my build and I'm starting to understand some of it. I chose Elves as my race for the longsword bonuses, and so I could take the enhancement that lets me use dex as my modifier when using longswords. I took ranger for the tempest tree, and I took monks for the wind stance that adds to my dex.
I'm just not sure as to the specifics, of which I should level first, and the monk aspect confuses me more than anything else haha.
