Polite Guide to LFM - "a good bait"
New players might be interested in this topic - How to make LFM announcement that will bring players fast.
How to make a good bait LFM:
- set for bravery bonus - limit maximum character level to quest lvl + 2 - more than a half players online runs quests only with Bravery Bonus aka streak. So once you set "Proof is in The poison" for level ranges [4]-[6] you will find alot more people want to join than setting it [4]-[7] or more.
- set to run on elite (for heroics) - heroic content with new randomloot is relatively easy, don't be afraid of it, you will find more ppl willing to help on the maximum difficulty option because noone wants to run each quest 3 times for favor sake. If you can't open elite? No worry, more than half people online can, just place information "opener needed" in your LFM (and remove once elite opener actually joins your party - just ask him/her they don't bite)
- if you plan to run whole chain - tell us "full chain" - if not - "just this quest" - some chains requires lot of running around, save other's time and effort
- if you know that a quest requires to be flagged - don't hesitate to mention that! "needs flag" - you will help other players aware which quests requires to flag
Terminology that is good to put in Looking For More announcements:
f2p or p2p - defines if the quest needs a pack to be bought (pay to play) - this information is not only directly for players (as anyone can see if someone has a pack to run a specific quest) but also means "this group might populate rather quickly because everyone can run f2p". f2p stands for "free to play"
BB or no BB - save other's time counting if the level range is within Bravery Bonus :)
elite, hard, norm - save us time reading quest tooltip
opener needed - ppl in this game are willing to help, you'll be surprised
favor run or loot run - usually means you don't care about XP, just zerg it fast for that beloved item you were farming for 2 weeks, or just need to unlock few more turbine points by favor
streaming or kids in group - we will keep it PG 13 ;)
Things you shouldn't set in LFM panel if you really don't need it:
- max party size - it usually confuses why your LFM disappeared for no reason :)
- don't want to be a leader - well, in this case you are already a leader, this might just scare other players of "oh no! he will pass me a star and then what!?!?". Having a star and being a leader means usually same thing.
