Howdy, I'm looking for some basic advice to boost my damage output, since it seems rather low. Usually takes me a while to **** stuff, but I finally broke down and decided to ask for help after my first attempt at Epic Normal Devil Assault seemed on schedule to break my Devil beater before the quest would end (though I ended up dieing due to distraction on the last wave). I think I know the most basic stuff, but I reckon there's also lots of stuff I don't know about yet (exceptional gear to strive for, good feats and enhancements, playstyle tricks that help a lot, ...), and that's where you come in :) I'll quickly specify the damage-dealing aspects of my current setup below, but I'ld like to point out that I'm also looking for general advice (for both Heroic and Epic content). I'm currently a level 20 Paladin. I know they have a reputation for being kinda useless (though I don't fully understand why the other melee classes would be that much better, and I rather like the survivability). But I'm stuck until I TR (and I hope to eventually grab two more Paladin lives anyway :)) 37 Strength All 3 THF feats, Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave. Knight of the Chalice since hitting Vale, so should also be pretty good for Devil Assault Usually run with Zeal, Divine Favor, Divine Might active. Aside from Cleaving and Great Cleaving whenever I can, I also use Exalted Smite on bosses. Sometimes Divine Sacrifice too, if it seems safe (though maybe I should just use it more often...). Gear is pretty good (as far as I can judge from pre-Underdark knowledge, I only started playing again recently) : Greensteel Lit II, Terror, Cannith Crafted +1 Holy Silver Falchion of Lawful Outsider Bane, ... Ring of the Stalker, Fabricator's Gauntlets, Greater Bold Trinket.
